Crowns/Cerec Crowns

Dental Crown

Also referred to as a cap, a crown is a protective covering over a tooth that is broken or decayed too much to support a filling. Some patients request crowns for cosmetic purposes when other options for enhancing their smile are not available or appropriate. A crown can also be used to cover dark or misshapen teeth, or to anchor a bridge. In some cases, crowns can also be used to open a patient’s bite or correct alignment of teeth.

At The Dentists South Shore we are one of the few practices in Wisconsin to offer crowns in one visit using a Cerec machine ! In most cases, the dentist prepares the tooth for the crown and we take a digital scan of the tooth and margins. This data is used to mill a crown made specifically for you that very same day right in our office!

No impression material!
No temporary crowns!
No two week wait!
No second time getting numb!!

Some crowns will still need to be sent to the lab for extra special treatment; come in to find out what we can do for you and see our Cerec in action! (414) 483-1600
