Veneers

A veneer is a thin layer, typically made of porcelain that covers the front and biting surface of a tooth. There is minimal preparation to the tooth prior making it a good option for individuals with sensitive teeth. An impression is taken for the lab to create the veneer to fit perfectly to the prepared tooth.  Once the veneer is made it is permanently cemented to the tooth.

Veneers are a unique cosmetic tool for dentists. They can be used to change the shape of a tooth to be more aesthetically pleasing or match others in the mouth. Veneers are an option for closing a gap between teeth and are sometimes used to change tooth color to match the other teeth or to whiten a smile.
