Bridges

A dental bridge is much like a regular bridge in that it helps cover a gap. When patients have gaps caused by missing teeth, the teeth on either side can shift into the space and disrupt your bite or cause problems with your jaw, or temporomandibular joint (TMJ).  Bridges are one option for replacing missing teeth.

The teeth on each side of the gap are shaped to make room for crowns for fit over them. These will be anchors for the missing teeth which are fabricated and attached to the crowns to make the bridge. The bridge is then permanently cemented to the prepared teeth. The gap is now 'bridged' with natural looking teeth!
